Love Bites(10)~Death The Kid x Vampire! Reader~

“Why are you standing out here in the rain alone?” he asked holding the umbrella above your head. You sighed and looked back down into the stream.

“It’s the only place I can go where the others won’t look at me with those eyes full of hate and disgust.…” you told him.

“It doesn’t matter what they think,” he said.

“How would you feel if you were hated by everyone and neglected just because you were different?” you glanced at him from the corner of your eye.

“I was. The others didn’t want to go near me because I was son of Lord Death. Soul and Maka were actually my first friends.” he said.

“I see…” you fell silent. Kid still stood with you, holding the umbrella above your heads.

“Hey do you know why I like the rain?” you asked him stepping out from under the umbrella.

“Why?”

“Because no one can tell how hard one is crying,” you said looking into the sky. Kid stared wide eyed. Not knowing if you were crying or the rain was pretending to be tears. He dropped his umbrella and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you to his chest.

“Its ok,” he whispered into your hair. Those were the two words that made you break down and cry even harder. You wrapped your arms around his form.

Kid held you in his arms as you cried. You two stood in the rain, getting soaked in the process, but neither of you cared.

“All you need is us. The others don’t matter. Don’t let them push you down and stomp all over you. You either stand of you fall…” he whispered encouraging words to you.

After a little while longer, you separated yourself from him, wiping the tears away, which was replaced by raindrops.

“Thanks Kid...I needed that,” you smiled. He picked up his umbrella.

“No problem. Come on. I’ll walk you home.”
